Hi there, I’m Steven Cousley—maker, digital designer, and the hands behind the models here.
Based in regional New South Wales, I’ve spent decades working in hands-on trade craftsmanship. In traditional trade work, everything comes down to patience, fine tolerances, and understanding how materials behave under heat, pressure, and time. When I first stepped into the world of 3D printing, that same practical mindset came right along with me.
The Journey: Tinkering Since 2018
My journey with FDM 3D printing kicked off back in 2018. If you were around the hobby back then, you know that printing wasn’t just “press print and walk away”—it was an education in mechanical grit. Over the years, my workbench has seen an evolving lineup of machines:
- Monoprice and Anet workhorses, where manual bed leveling, constant tweaking, and community-modded firmware were practically a rite of passage.
- Reliable staples from Creality and Geeetech, dialed in through countless hours of tuning flow rates, belts, and extruders.
- Modern setups from Anycubic, pushing speeds, precision, and reliable workflow even further.
Working through that progression taught me 3D printing from the inside out. I understand bed adhesion headaches, why supports fail, how layer orientation affects strength, and the frustration of a 14-hour print failing on the final layers.
Designed by a Maker, for Makers
Today, I channel all that workshop experience directly into digital design. When you download a model from this site, you aren’t just getting a digital concept—you’re getting geometry engineered specifically to print reliably on everyday home machines.
Every release focuses on:
- Clean Geometry: Watertight meshes with no hidden non-manifold surprises.
- Smart Printability: Thoughtful orientation and overhangs designed to keep support material to an absolute minimum.
- Tested Formats: Available in both standard .STL and modern .3MF formats, ready to drop straight into your preferred slicer.
- Real-World Build Plate Testing: Run on actual FDM printers so you can slice, load your filament, and print with confidence.
